Hotel Alpen Arnika is located right on the Tauplitzalm plateau in the Austrian region of Styria, at an altitude of 1,650 meters. In summer, it offers ideal conditions for both relaxation and active holidays in nature. The surrounding mountain landscape, with six lakes, panoramic views, and a dense network of hiking trails, is a perfect starting point for hikes of all levels – from easy walks to more demanding treks and via ferratas.
You can set off on hiking trips directly from the hotel, take a refreshing dip in the lakes, rent a paddleboard or a boat, or simply relax on the terrace while enjoying the scenic views. Families with children will appreciate the available amenities such as baby cots, high chairs, and a playroom, as well as a safe environment for outdoor play.
Our guests value not only the peace and beauty of the mountain setting but also the comfort and friendliness of our staff. We offer generous half board prepared by our head chef Petr Heneš, a two-toque holder in the Gault & Millau guide.
Pets are also welcome at Alpen Arnika. We believe that summer in the mountains is the perfect time to relax with the whole family – including your four-legged companions.

Enjoy a comfortable stay in our hotel, where we offer 24 rooms in traditional Austrian style, from family suites to cozy single and double rooms with extra beds. All rooms have a private bathroom, toilet, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi connection.
Check-in: Rooms are ready from 14:00.
Check-out: Please vacate the room by 10:00.
In the summer months, you can comfortably drive directly to the hotel. In winter, parking is available for a fee at a nearby car park (€5.50 per day). We will be happy to take you to the hotel on a snowmobile along with your belongings.
